Facilities and Equipment

With our ability to now treat most ocular diseases, including glaucoma, we have incorporated several new instruments to aid in detection, diagnosis and management of these conditions.

The Optos Optomap retinal camera is the only wide field panoramic camera available. This is invaluable in detection, diagnosis and monitoring of damage and disease in the eye, such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, retinal detachment, tears, holes and other diseases.

The Carl Zeiss Matrix Field Analyzer tests and detects damage to the optic nerve much sooner than other field analyzers by utilizing line doubling technology. This simple test can determine defects in the nerve for conditions like glaucoma and macular degeneration.

The Stratus Ocular Coherence Tamographer (OCT) can scan the tissues of the eye, creating a cross-sectional image and determine whether there is any damage occurring in the retina for conditions like glaucoma, macular degeneration, swelling and detachment.

These tests should be covered in most cases under your participating medical insurance.
